ROYAL TREATMENT WITH LINSEED OIL Plant and process for treatment of already impregnated wood with linseed oil in a process which dries down the freshly impregnated wood within a matter of hours instead of days, and at the same time penetrates the surface of the wood with a linseed oil for gtreatly improved protection against water-uptake with either the colour of the impregnation preservative or pigments for red, yellow, brown and gray shades. The standard turn-key Royal plant has a capacity of 10 - 12 m3 per cycle and up to 30 - 36 m3 in 24 hours. The Royal treatment is normally for impregnated scots pine and not applicable on spruce due to the low uptake of the impregnation preservative. IWT-Moldrup is reintroducing the Rotatreat version of Royal treatment for even quicker drying and for Royal treatment on spruce and similar refractory species.
